Gabriel Bodenehr the Elder (1664-1758) was a German publisher, cartographer, and engraver based in Augsburg who created urban landscapes of numerous German cities. His most famous work is the Atlas Curieux, first published in 1704. Bodenehr published the first engraved plan of the city of Passau around 1710, titled 'Pianta del sito Passau, Innstatt e Ilzstatt' by Johann Stridbeck the Younger. He came from the Bodenehr family of engravers. His father, Johann Georg Bodenehr (1631–1704), was an engraver and publisher; his brothers Moritz (1665–1749) and Georg Conrad (1673–1710), as well as his son Gabriel Bodenehr the Younger (1705–1792), were also engravers.
