Rare and expressive Meissen porcelain figurine group titled 'Raub der Sabinerin,' after the famous design by Johann Joachim Kaendler from 1753.
This execution dates from the period 1850–1924, recognizable by the classic sword mark on the underside. The group shows two dynamically modeled figures in dramatic motion – a typical example of the Rococo figurative art of the Meissener manufactory.
