Description from the seller
Pair of Candlesticks, early 20th century, France, Gilt Bronze, Rococo / Art Nouveau influence
Elegant pair of antique candlesticks in gilt bronze, dating to the learly 20th century. These refined pieces feature gracefully curved arms and a slender, tapering stem rising from a richly decorated circular base. The design shows clear Art Nouveau influence, with flowing lines, floral motifs and organic detailing throughout.
Each candlestick holds two candles and is beautifully balanced, both visually and physically. The sculpted bases are finely ornamented, while the arms curve outward in an elegant, symmetrical manner. The warm patina of the bronze enhances the depth of the relief and highlights the craftsmanship of the casting.
