Vintage Japanese Yanagiba & Ko-Deba Knives – Traditional Signed Blades, Set of 3

This lot features three vintage Japanese kitchen knives, consisting of two Yanagiba-style blades and one Ko-Deba (small Deba).
All knives are traditional Japanese single-bevel blades and include clear inscriptions, reflecting their original craftsmanship and intended professional use.

These knives are ideal for collectors, restorers, or experienced users of traditional Japanese cutlery who appreciate authentic tools with history.

Signatures (from left to right)

Left (Yanagiba): Signed “Masahiro Saku – Bessen” (正広作別撰)

Center (Yanagiba): Signed on the reverse “Teuchi” (手打 – hand-forged)

Right (Ko-Deba): Signed “Seki Magoroku” (関孫六)

Knife Types

Yanagiba: Long, slender slicing knife traditionally used for sashimi and fine fish preparation

Ko-Deba: Compact Deba knife designed for small fish and precise work
