The body is made of white glazed earthenware/ceramics, decorated with a cobalt blue band and gold trim. A special detail is the underside: it features concentric rings that serve as a striking surface for matches.
It stands on three ball feet and is finished with a second-grade silver mount and lid with chased flower motifs.
Type: Matchbox holder / Matchstick box with ironing surface.
Material: Ceramics/Pottery & Silver (.833).

Dimensions: Height approximately 12 centimeters.
Dating: circa 1910 – 1930.
Condition & Damage report
The object is in a used, antique condition.
Ceramics: Nice, no cracks or chips. The glazing on the underside is clearly visible. The gold lines are worn (faded) from use.
Silver: The silver lid is 'damaged'. The lower edge of the lid is fragile and missing some pieces/fragments. Despite these defects on the edge, the lid still closes well and the mechanism functions properly.
Hinge: original and functional
