Vintage Japanese Deba & Ko-Deba Knives – Signed Traditional Blades, Set of 4 This lot features a set of four vintage Japanese Deba and Ko-Deba knives, traditional single-bevel kitchen knives designed primarily for fish preparation. Each knife shows clear signs of age and use, reflecting decades of practical craftsmanship and professional kitchen history. All knives are signed or stamped, as follows (from left to right): A knife bearing a “力” (Chikara) stamp on the reverse side A knife with the upper maker’s mark worn away; only the character “製” (made) remains visible A knife stamped “Registered Tokushige”, with a visible crack in the wooden handle A smaller Ko-Deba knife stamped “Tosa – Special Made” Approximate dimensions (measured from the images): – Deba knives: blade length approx. 160–170 mm – Ko-Deba knife: blade length approx. 120 mm – Total length ranges from approx. 255 to 305 mm Condition: These are genuine vintage knives and show age-related wear, including dirt, rust, surface corrosion, scratches, edge chips, and possible tip damage. The knife stamped “Registered Tokushige” has a cracked handle, as shown in the photos.
