Description from the seller
Elegant antique wood jewelry box with embossed metal lid and key.
This is a fascinating antique storage or jewelry box dating probably from the early 20th century.
Main features: The box is made of dark wood with a hinged lid featuring a distinctive embossed metal plaque with a figurative scene. Inside, it is lined with bright yellow fabric (velvet) and includes a small original and functional 'skeleton' key, characteristic of antique locks. A small removable internal tray is ideal for storing rings or small jewelry.
The design of the embossed metal panel (a technique known as repoussé) is highly decorative, often associated with French or Dutch styles of the period.
Conditions: The item is in excellent overall condition, with a natural patina that attests to its age and use. Minimal signs of wear are present, consistent with an antique piece. The lock functions properly with the key provided.
Use: Perfect as a collectible piece, as a jewelry box, or for storing small precious objects. A piece of great charm and character.
