Description from the seller

Authentic 19th-century copper water boiler / cooking kettle, hand-forged and equipped with a wide carrying handle, spout, and original lid with a brass knob.

The kettle was originally tin-lined on the inside. The tin has largely disappeared due to age and prolonged use, which is typical of heavily used copper water boilers from this period.

The year '1873' has been manually stamped on the bracket, most likely referring to the year of manufacture or use.
Shape, construction, and finishing indicate a origin from Northern France or Belgium.

The kettle has a beautiful, natural patina and clear signs of use appropriate for its age. The top edge shows slight irregularities from prolonged use. There are no cracks or structural damage, and no modern repairs or interventions.
