Canon 814XL-S Super 8mm video camera in good physical condition, non-tested functionality, serial number 814178, dating to circa 1960–1970, with the original Canon Zoom Lens, folding ergonomic grip and external microphone.
Description from the seller
Canon – Vintage Super 8 video camera with professional grip and external microphone – Not tested
Offered is a Canon Super 8 video camera (likely from the 1970s-80s series), equipped with:
Original Canon zoom lens with a smooth ring and a clearly readable metric scale.
Foldable ergonomic handle with adjustable strap.
External microphone with a condenser capsule, mounted on the upper attachment.
High-resistance metal and polymer structure typical of Canon's production during that era.
The object was found during the cleaning of a residence, and it was not possible to perform a functional test.
For this reason, it is proposed as not tested / for collection, display, or restoration.
From an aesthetic point of view, the video camera shows normal signs of use and aging, consistent with its age, but overall it appears in excellent visual condition for a vintage device of this category.
Similar models from the same series have a market value of around €800, especially when complete with optics and microphone, as in this case.
Great opportunity for collectors, lovers of analog cinema, or restorers of historical equipment.
