Beautiful set of three traditional knives from Algeria.
Scabbards and handles: Carved wood with geometric chevron patterns and sawtooth motifs typical of Iflissen craftsmanship.
Finishings: Metal support rings (iron/brass).
Lames: straight steel with engravings.
Length 38cm
Bou Saadi Prestige Knife
Manche: Made of wood or horn decorated with protective symbols called oculés (circles with a central dot).
Virole: Complex ligature of copper or brass wires wound together.
Lame: Superior forging work including three circular inlays in copper/red brass.
Sheath: Antique leather, hand-stitched with visible stitching, showing a strong historical patina.
Total length 25.5 cm
