Description from the seller
BUTÁN. 1 piece. 1951–1955.
- Value: 1 Pice.
- Year: 1951–1955.
Inscriptions: traditional symbolic motifs arranged in geometric fields; Tibetan characters and auspicious emblems on both sides.
- Grade: MS64 RB (NGC).
Copper coin issued in Bhutan during the mid-20th century monetary transition period, characterized by a design deeply influenced by Buddhist iconography and Himalayan cultural tradition. Both sides feature a quadripartite and multipanel composition with auspicious symbols, including the endless knot, conch shell, flower, and other ritual emblems, engraved in pronounced relief and clearly local style. The specimen displays an attractive reddish coloration with brownish hues, maintaining the original shine visible on fields and reliefs, justifying the designation RB (Red Brown). The details are well-defined, and the fields are clean for the type, offering a very solid presentation and a representative example of traditional Bhutanese numismatics, uncommon in high grades of preservation.
Disclaimer: For orders shipped outside the European Union, I want to make it absolutely clear that I ship from Spain. This means that if the package is sent to any country outside the European Union, and/or inside the EU that has a special tax agreement (for example: Canary Islands), it might be stopped in your local customs, and they might ask you to pay taxes. This is a customs legal procedure and is completely out of our control. Thank you for your understanding.
