Description from the seller
This Art Deco-Amsterdam School clock is still in good condition and dates from the period 1920-1930.
The angular-shaped clock case is made of beautiful, figured dark oak wood.
The front features symmetrically shaped parts of Coromandel wood, an exclusive type of wood that is now unaffordable but was frequently used during the Art Deco period in furniture, cabinets, and clocks.
The octagonal brass number ring with sleek Art Deco numerals stands out beautifully against the dark back, and is equipped with the characteristic sleek hands.
The watch is from Junghans Pfeilkreuz(X), ultrasonically cleaned and restored to like new, lightly oiled where necessary, and precisely calibrated.
The bim-bamslag gives a beautiful sound.
A special edition of an Amsterdam Art Deco school clock that you don't come across often in this condition and design, a clock suitable for collectors or enthusiasts, fitting into any type of interior.
Connoisseurs and collectors know how to estimate the value of this Art Deco piece and it certainly falls into the higher value segment. Nonetheless, I am offering this clock without a minimum reserve price to give everyone the chance to own it.
The clock will be shipped carefully packaged, including the key, to countries within Europe only.
