RICHARD, a brand of LOETZ glassworks (1836-1947), was produced in the 1920s for France (Austria).
It is the renowned LOETZ WITWE glassworks, located at the time in Klostermühle in South Bohemia, that produced vases signed 'RICHARD' between 1920 and 1929. The multi-layer glass pieces featured floral designs or landscapes from Central Europe or the Mediterranean in vivid colors.

These productions were intended for export, particularly to France. Recovered documents attest to the import of these 'RICHARD' glasses by a store specializing in decorative objects, named J. Jouve, located at 21 rue de Paradis in Paris.

This complementary range was distributed by 'Cristaux d’Art Richard, Société Ed. ETLING manufacturer' located at 158 ter rue du Temple in Paris.
