Description from the seller
Dear Bidders,
Thank you for your interest in my offer.
You are bidding here on a pair Peill & Putzler vintage glass Cube table lamps, which are in a good / very good condition for its age.
A pair of rare Peill & Putzler table lamps from Germany, likely produced in the 1970s–1980s period. These lamps feature thick, clear moulded crystal-glass in a striking cube form, sometimes referred to in vintage catalogs as a “Lichtwürfel” or Ice Cube design.
They exemplify the brand’s minimalist and space-age aesthetic within mid-century modern lighting.
SOME GENERAL INFORMATIONS:
Peill & Putzler was one of Germany’s most respected glassworks and lighting manufacturers, dating back to 1903 when Peill & Sohn was founded in Düren. In 1947 it merged with Gebrüder Putzler, growing into a notable producer of high-quality glass lighting. Throughout its history, the company collaborated with renowned designers and won multiple design awards, embodying Bauhaus-inspired simplicity and craftsmanship.
Peill & Putzler lamps are characterized by timeless design, excellent glasswork, and functional elegance — pieces that appeal to collectors and design enthusiasts alike.
