Description: A very fine occasion spoon with an image of a cow at the end of the handle. Below, on the flat part of the handle, an inscription has been engraved, namely: In memory of the fifty-year marriage of E.M. Hiemstra & T.T. van Essen, 18 February 1869.
The persons mentioned here are Evert Martens Hiemstra, born on October 27, 1799, in Idaard (Friesland), and Tjitske Thymens van Essen, born on April 14, 1799, in Aegum (Friesland). She married on February 18, 1819, in Roordahuizum.
