Antique Vessel - Brass, Copper - 1890 possibly - Handcrafted vessel

Large, monumental hand-driven and hand-engraved brass vessel, probably from India, dating to the 19th century (possibly early 20th century).

The vessel is entirely handcrafted and decorated all around with dense floral and botanical ornaments. The engravings are deep, irregular, and clearly hand-cut, not machine-pressed. The surface displays an authentic, untouched patina that has been deliberately left uncleaned or polished.

Especially noteworthy are the two massive ring handles, which are an integral part of the corpus and show clear signs of age. The material thickness and the high weight suggest that it was originally used as a representative water or storage vessel, possibly also in a ceremonial or temple-related context.
