Description from the seller
NAGRA AUDIO T - TIME-CODE, Mobile Studio Recorder
From my audio collection, this impressive NAGRA mobile studio recorder is available, including the original trolley and equipped with the renewed TACA-TC keyboard, offering all conceivable features. The Audio T-series has the most advanced drive and tape guidance system with double capstan technology. Back in the day (until the early 90s), it was the finest available and quite expensive. Having been in my private possession for over 15 years, this machine has been used only occasionally and has become rare. Due to its large dynamic range, recordings are completely automatic. It is a two-track machine with tape speeds of 19 and 38 cm/sec, which can be modified for higher or lower speeds. The interior is directly accessible by opening the lid of the box construction with a simple handle. No tangle of wires, but Swiss precision with the best components and materials.
Recently (November 2025), serviced and tested for 100% functionality by a certified studio equipment professional. The plastic NAB adapters were replaced with newly purchased metal versions. Invoices are available, including a frequency graph from a head test at both 19 and 38 cm/sec tape speeds.
The machine is also in mint condition externally. No signs of use at all.
Delivered with the original brochure and digital manual of a previous T-version. The 5-page brochure includes an insert of 3 pages with all technical specifications (both in new condition). Also supplied with a 3M mastering tape as shown in the photos. All displayed photos are of course of this machine. The tape contains recent, varied quality recordings at 38 cm/sec.
Of course, this complicated machine is only intended for connoisseurs, passionate hobbyists, or collectors who want only the best. Viewing and demonstration are available in Leidschendam, connected to a high-end audio system. Due to its size, weight, and the risk of damage, the machine will not be shipped, meaning not under my responsibility. Which connoisseur will make a serious offer based on the value of this special machine?
