Description from the seller

Name
Decorative Art Nouveau candy box / biscuit jar
Attribution
Bohemian glass (Austro-Hungarian Empire), attributed to
Era
Late 19th – early 20th century (around 1890–1920)
Translucent blue glass candy box or cookie jar, with a slightly rounded cylindrical shape, resting on a thick base.
The glass features slight waves and internal nuances, characteristic of handcrafted Bohemian glassware from the late 19th century.

The decoration, painted directly on the glass, depicts polychrome roses in red and pink tones, accompanied by freely applied golden foliage on a nuanced blue-gray background.
This type of stylized floral decor is typical of Bohemia's decorative productions intended for export to Western Europe.

The piece is completed by an original mounting in silvered metal, finely chiseled with vegetal motifs, incorporating a cover with a central button and a movable arch, highlighting its use as both decorative and functional.
Condition status
Glass: excellent condition, without crack, chip, or accident.
Painted decor: some minor paint damage and visible wear on the roses, consistent with age.
Silver metal: light signs of wear and micro-scratches, without deformation.
Interior: clean, without defects.
