Parchment dating back to 1589, in Salandra (Basilicata, Italy), drafted by the Royal Summary Court.
In 1544, Salandra was definitively acquired by Francesco Revertera, lieutenant of the Royal Supreme Court; the Revertera family, who became dukes of Salandra in 1614, remained owners until 1805.
The Royal Chamber of the Sommaria examined the accounts of the royal treasury, provincial receivers, and all other officials entrusted with public money, as well as the reports of public administrators and the accounts related to the tax assessments of the universitates. In fact, it protected the universitates from abuses by barons and governors.
