Description from the seller
Splendid and impressive early 20th-century bedspread made entirely of cotton and silk, all hand-embroidered. Thanks to the double composition of the fabric, it fits the bed well, falling to the ground. It measures 230 cm by 213 cm, plus a fringe with a band of passementerie and a straight section of 7 cm.
In the center, a large rose window with flowers on the sides of circles with flowers that frame the central part, and a decoration that extends to the ground with geometric patterns resembling a chessboard.
Some decorative elements are rust-colored, while others are white.
It is entirely hand-embroidered down to the ground with rust-colored flowers and circles, and white embroidery. The fringe measures 6 cm and consists of a band of passementerie and a straight fringe, reflecting the colors of the bedspread. From the reverse side, you can see the hand embroidery.
Given the neutral color, it easily matches a home's upholstery.
It is in excellent condition given that my family had many bed covers that were changed often.
It was part of my family's belongings, and because of its large number, I am selling it.
I use couriers instead of postal services because they arrive faster, provide double packaging, and make communication easier.
