Description from the seller
Splendid first half of the 1900s double bed cover in cotton and silk, Cruda beige color as background with embroidered flowers and circles on top. Dimensions, precisely: 223 cm wide, 230 cm high, with an additional antique fringe on the three sides, different from usual ones, made of cotton with a special straight weave and a band of passementerie that echoes the colors of the bed cover. The entire fringe is 13 cm high.
It is rare to find this type of colorful bedspreads on the market because white ones or those with dual colors are common, but intricately embroidered, dual-colored bedspreads are a rarity.
In the center, there are three large rosettes, one above the other, in orange and yellow with figures. It is characterized by geometric patterns with lines and flowers, with a perimeter featuring geometric craftsmanship, followed by designs with lines and a circular decoration that echoes the geometric theme in the parts that descend on the sides.
It's all a great embroidery, and this gives it a special value to the bedspread.
Important is the cotton lace band 10 cm high made with silk threads in an ivory color.
It has always been used with the utmost care and joins my family's bedspread set, which I am selling due to its multiplicity.
Although it is a bedspread over a century old, it is in good condition.
The large size fits the bed perfectly.
It is in excellent condition. Almost new.
It was part of my family's heirloom passed down to me, and due to its large quantity, I am selling some of them. Given the soft colors, it easily matches the upholstery of a house.
Given the visible signs of wear, I assume it has never been used.
I washed it in any case.
Photos are more illustrative than words in understanding the beauty of the object.
I always ship with private couriers and not postal services because I want the item to be well-packaged and arrive quickly. Keep in mind that the duvet cover has its own weight, which attests to its value.
Shipping costs vary depending on whether the destination is Europe Zone 1 or 2, such as Eastern European countries, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Malta, Cyprus, and the rest of the world.
The customs duties will be borne by the buyer.
