Description from the seller
Table lamp from the renowned brand Fase, model 520c, Raíz edition (commonly known as 'carey' or 'animal print'). Designed by Industrias Fase (Luis Pérez De La Oliva and Pedro García Martín).
It is an exceptional piece due to its excellent state of preservation with original components: paint, glass, chrome... The lamp has no dents and retains its original shine… It has seen little use. The original diffuser glass is in perfect condition: free of 'hairs', scratches, and retains its transparency. After more than 50 years, it is very rare to see a Fase lamp in such condition.
The base and the dial are made of painted steel in 'carey', 'animal print', or 'raíz'. This color was produced in fewer quantities than other colors. The bracelet is made of steel and painted in gold color.
Metal screen with a carey-painted ball joint for orientation, allowing light to be varied in different positions, and the ability to shorten or lengthen the lamp. Steel arm with curved lines painted in gold, fixed to a weighted base in carey color. The inner and outer crown are painted in gold. It operates with two E-27 bulbs protected by a light diffuser glass. It retains all original elements and is functioning correctly.
It is a piece over 50 years old, and therefore, it shows signs of aging that can be seen in the photos. It particularly has a scratch on the arm. Please look carefully at the photos because they are part of the lamp's description.
The Fase 520c is an icon of Spanish industrial design from the 60s and 70s, not only due to its undeniable aesthetic beauty but also because it has been used countless times by art directors in the film industry as props for numerous Spanish and international films: it is the lamp in the office of Mayor Ruth Jahns and Bernard Holland in the series 'Silo', and has appeared in Dr. House, Ragnarok, Money Heist, Midsomer Murders, etc.
Comes from a private collection with very little use. A collectible piece.
