Description from the seller

Silver seal matrix with coat of arms and Latin motto – 19th century

Small silver seal matrix (tested), baluster-shaped, decorated with a manually soldered pearl frieze – typical work from the second half of the 19th century. The circular plate bears a deep engraving depicting a crest: a unicorn head (or stylized horse) emerging from lambrequins, placed above a knotted horizontal rod.
A Latin banner surrounds the stage.

Thanks to the mirror photos, the motto reads: 'DUCTOR NON TRAHITOR'.
I drive, I do not linger.

Clear engraving, sharp lines, no hesitation in the stroke: it is the work of a master goldsmith or a confirmed heraldic engraver. The matrix is well functional.

Matrix dimensions 2 cm x 2 cm

Good overall condition. Normal wear and tear. Some visible file marks on the shaft, consistent with manual shaping.

Provenance: Private collection.

Photos are an integral part of the description of the objects and complement their presentation. They allow you to assess their condition and characteristics. Please examine them carefully before any commitment.

The item will be carefully packaged and shipped with a tracking number to ensure fast and secure delivery.
