Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Rare French fascicle from Le Petit Vingtième, issue dated 27 August 1931, in very good condition, one copy, titled Tintin à Chicago with Hergé photomontage cover.
Description from the seller
Very rare issue from Thursday, August 27, 1931, with a photomontage cover by Hergé: 'Tintin is gone!'
Yet another remarkable publicity stunt by Hergé and abbé Wallez, who can thus continue to make readers of Petit Vingtième believe in the real existence of 'Tintin, Reporter of the 20th Century.'
Note that the presented title is 'Tintin in Chicago,' not 'In America,' because Hergé has not yet completed drawing this adventure and does not yet imagine that Chicago will soon be too limited to complete Tintin's adventures in America.
View the presentation double page of 'Bientôt Tintin à Chicago' with unpublished illustrations from Hergé's album.
Booklet available for sale through the Scriptura catalog and absent from many collections.
