Description from the seller
Boogie- Sao Paulo - 2007 - English - Hardcover - 22 x 17cm - RARE!
São Paulo; door Boogie. Born in Belgrade, Serbia, street photographer Boogie possesses a rare talent for capturing the human condition. With an eye for social realism that swings between moments of quiet beauty and confronting, gritty stories, Boogie's work is reminiscent of war photographer Capa combined with Diane Arbus. His black-and-white photos, which he develops himself in his Brooklyn bathroom, capture the character and inhabitants of some of the most tumultuous cities in the world. Traditionally, photojournalism focuses more on content—capturing a moment or event—and less on formal aspects. However, Boogie gracefully combines the eye of a documentary filmmaker with a refined artistic sensitivity. Many of his images are simultaneously deeply moving and completely unsettling. Boogie's work has taken him from Serbia to Cuba and across South America.
Shipping: Will be properly packed and shipped with track & trace via PostNL.
