Camille Saint-Saëns is a French composer and pianist, born on October 9, 1835, in Paris, and died on December 16, 1921, in Algiers. He is famous for his orchestral works, notably 'The Carnival of the Animals' and 'Symphony No. 3'. Saint-Saëns is also recognized for his influence on French music and his role in founding the Société Nationale de Musique.
