Lot of two solid silver boxes made in Holland from the 18th century, including a chantourned hinged box with repoussé and chased pastoral and gallant scenes and a small round ronde poudre/tabatière with a gilt interior and a galant garden scene on the lid, total weight 40 g.

Set of 2 solid silver boxes – Holland – 18th century – Gallant and pastoral scenes
General description
Very beautiful, homogeneous set of two antique solid silver boxes, made in Holland in the 18th century, decorated with finely crafted gallant and pastoral scenes according to traditional Dutch goldsmithing techniques.
These objects were intended for refined use (snuffbox, powder box, or fly box) and demonstrate entirely handcrafted artisanal work: repoussé, chased, and engraved.
