Description from the seller
This antique walking stick is a particularly characterful object, crafted with a handle made from real antler, beautifully shaped and nicely patinated by time. The natural antler gives the stick a robust, authentic appearance and feels comfortable in the hand. The transition to the wooden shaft is reinforced with a brass collar, which is both functional and decorative.
The wooden stick is richly decorated with multiple metal medals, including commemorative and tourist tokens featuring relief images, coats of arms, and place names. These medals collectively tell the story of travel, hikes, and personal memories, as was typical at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century. They are carefully attached and form a beautiful historical ensemble.
The stick shows a beautiful, honest patina of use, with light signs of age that perfectly match an authentic antique piece. At the bottom, a metal cap is present to protect the wood.
Thanks to its appearance, this walking stick is not only a functional object but also very suitable as a decorative collectible, for a hunting or mountain interior, or as a focal point in a hall or study.
Length: approx. 94 cm
Material: antler, wood, metal (brass and silver-colored metal).
Period: late 19th / early 20th century
A unique antique walking stick with history, character, and a distinctive appearance.
