Amethyst geode egg carved sculpture, natural, with internal crystal cavity, originating from Brazil, weighing 16,022 g, and measuring 360 × 210 × 210 mm.
Description from the seller
This large egg has been carved from a natural amethyst geode, maintaining the integrity of the internal crystallization. The exterior, polished and shiny, encloses a spectacular cavity lined with intense purple crystals, which emerge with sharp geometries and sparkling facets.
The inner section of the geode reveals a rich tapestry of crystalline points, many of which display chromatic zonings and inclusions. The hues range from light lavender to deeper violet, accentuated by the transparency of the quartz and the optical effect created by light reflected on the surfaces.
Amethyst is a variety of quartz (SiO₂) belonging to the trigonal system, whose color results from traces of trivalent iron (Fe³⁺) and subsequent exposure to natural radiation. Its formation occurs in volcanic cavities, where the action of hydrothermal fluids allows the crystals to grow under slow and steady conditions.
This geode egg is a perfect union of natural sculpture and mineralogical work of art. Ideal as a scenic decor element, as a centerpiece in a prestigious collection, or as a symbol of harmony and transformation.
An authentic work that celebrates the primordial beauty of the Earth.
