African bloodstone originates from Africa, particularly South Africa and Madagascar, formed through the crystallization of silica-rich, mineral-laden fluids within volcanic areas. This process, occurring over millions of years under intense heat and pressure, results in its characteristic dark green chalcedony (a form of quartz) base and the red or reddish-brown inclusions of hematite.
