Mercedes 450 SL (W107) from 1973, with automatic transmission, petrol, yellow exterior, 4500 cc V8 producing 200 HP, matching numbers and colours, service book/history available, and US-title; located in the Netherlands.
Description from the seller
Mercedes W107 euro
Since its debut in 1971, the Mercedes-Benz R107 series has left a lasting impression in the world of luxury cars. Designed as the successor to the legendary W113 Pagoda, the R107 set a new standard in comfort, performance, and safety. With its timeless design, robust construction, and innovative technologies, the R107 quickly became a favorite among classic car enthusiasts worldwide.
Mercedes 450 SL 1973 (52 years old)
Bodywork/Paintwork
California import (completely stainless steel). The lacquer finish is still very beautiful for its age.
With a hard and a brand-new soft top. This early R107 was originally delivered with euro bumpers and headlights. The chassis is like new and completely dry (see photos).
Interior
Neat interior (dashboard has a few tears under its cover). With its original (and working) Becker radio. Including all booklets and its original onboard tools.
Technical
Much has been renewed technically (tires, brakes, etc.).
Runs, drives, and shifts well.
Under the hood and in the trunk, very neatly maintained.
Of course, this car isn't new, and there will always be some things to improve (it has been standing quite still in recent years with its previous California owner, who had owned the car for many years).
All import and VAT costs have been paid.
Extra Information
- This Mercedes does not require a COC document (only introduced in 1996) for registration within Europe due to the age of the car.
This car is offered with an American title, which means it is currently not inspected and not ready for public roads.
We try to describe the cars as honestly and accurately as possible, but since they are used vehicles, there may always be something that requires attention or shows signs of use. Therefore, we kindly ask you to come and view the car if you have any doubts.
We can assist you with transportation throughout Europe.
This car can be viewed and possibly picked up in Damwoude, Netherlands.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
