AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Portrait by Raphael Kirchner in a beautiful original wooden Art Nouveau frame, signed in the wood 'Mosser'.

The print is by Kirchner's design for his Mikado series, executed in Japonist style. Date: 1900 and in very good condition.

The frame has been recently professionally restored; the mat has been replaced, and the glass has been replaced with high-quality museum glass. The frame has a crack at the bottom left, which has been neatly restored but is still visible. This does not detract from the beauty of this object.

Raphael Kirchner worked around 1900 in the same Art Nouveau and Japonist tradition as Alphonse Mucha, Aubrey Beardsley, George Barbier, Jessie M. King, and Henri Privat-Livemont.
