Turquoise-glazed ceramic Foo dog from the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644), a Chinese antique statue in good condition with a height of 22.8 cm and a width of 15.2 cm.

Chinese Fo dog in turquoise glazed ceramic.
He is seated, with his tail and head held upright, and his eyes wide open.
Turquoise-glazed ceramic, relief decoration, very expressive sculpture.
Dimensions: height 22.8 cm - width 15.2 cm.
Ming Dynasty period (1368 - 1644)
Turquoise glaze and Fahua ceramics have been produced since the 14th century under the Yuan dynasty, in Shanxi province in northern China and probably in Jingdezhen, the site of imperial kilns from the Ming period.
This type of ceramic appears to have been very little exported, and the royal seals are nonexistent.
Very good condition, with some loss of glaze.
