Two Napoléon III era verre-based centrepiece items in gilded metal, dating to circa 1900–1910, measuring 17 cm by 40 cm, with a removable mirrored back and decorative Rocaille/Neo-Louis XV styling, in good used condition with minor wear to the gilt.
Description from the seller
Important mainly is a table from the Napoleonic III period, made of gilded silver-plated metal (antique gilding), richly decorated in the Neo-Louis XV/Rocaille style, characteristic of the second half of the 19th century.
The tray features a scalloped shape resting on curved legs, and is equipped with decorative side handles finely carved.
It is equipped with a removable mirror base, typical of 19th-century table tops, designed to reflect glassware, bottles, or decorative elements.
The frame bears the mention 'Déposé-AN-72', corresponding to a model registered in 1872, allowing for precise dating.
This marking certifies French production and a protected model. The absence of an official silver hallmark confirms that it is made of silver-plated metal, enhanced with gold gilding, a common practice during the Second Empire for luxury objects.
Ideal for a table, a console, or a display case.
Good overall condition, with partial wear of the gilding and light signs of age consistent with the age. See the photos; they are part of the description.
The overall measurement is: 17 x 40 cm.
