Description from the seller
From November 20, 1947, Buth illustrated in the newspaper 'Het Volk' with a cartoon the column '’t Moest ’n keer waar zijn' by Tsjeef de Kleppe, the pseudonym of Michel Casteels. This was subsequently given the subtitle 'De Malcontenten', which over time became the main title and satirized the Gentse (folk) life. This series was discontinued on August 26, 1951.
In this lot, four beautiful large original drawings (average 30 x 28 cm).
