Schuco Moto-Drill 1006, a tin lithographed wind-up motorcycle from Germany dating to the 1940s–1950s, in good condition and without the original box.
Description from the seller
Schuco Moto-Drill 1006 – Vintage 1950s battery-operated toy motorcycle
Brand: Schuco
Model: Moto-Drill 1006
Era: Postwar, Made in U.S.-Zone Germany
Material: Lithographed tinplate, metal wheels.
Mechanism: a key-operated lock (not original but functioning).
Condition: Good, with signs of age.
Description:
Authentic Schuco Moto-Drill 1006 toy motorcycle, made of lithographed tin with great attention to detail. The rider in yellow racing gear is in a dynamic pose, ready to race. The wind-up mechanism is perfectly functional: the motorcycle starts, stops, spins on itself, and resumes running until the charge is exhausted, as per the original design.
At the back, there is a stain caused by an old sticker, left intact to avoid compromising the original writings. The charging key is marked Schuco but is probably not the original for the model. Some small paint chips testify to the age and use, giving the piece an authentic and lived-in charm.
A collectible, rare, and poetic object, ideal for those who love vintage mechanical toys and the beauty of things that have lived.
