Description from the seller
Yemen. Sana'a. 1 Riyal. 1963 (AH 1382).
- Value: 1 Riyal.
- Year: 1963 (AH 1382).
- Inscriptions: Legends in Arabic with ornamental calligraphy; in the center, a circular inscription with the value, surrounded by vegetal motifs and decorative scrolls.
- Rating: Without circular.
Interesting early silver issue from the Yemeni republic, characterized by a balanced design deeply influenced by Islamic tradition. The obverse features an elaborate calligraphic composition within a richly ornamented circular frame, while the reverse shows a branch with stylized leaves and fruits, symbolizing prosperity and fertility, accompanied by the date in both the Islamic and Western calendars. Well-centered specimen, with sharp reliefs, excellent preservation of fine details, and a smooth, homogeneous patina that enhances the visual appeal of this scarce piece.
Disclaimer: For orders shipped outside the European Union, I want to make it absolutely clear that I ship from Spain. This means that if the package is sent to any country outside the European Union, and/or inside the EU that has a special tax agreement (for example: Canary Islands), it might be stopped in your local customs, and they might ask you to pay taxes. This is a customs legal procedure and is completely out of our control. Thank you for your understanding.
