Description from the seller

CowParade - Esra Turan «Tanrica»

Tanrica (goddess) means goddess in Turkish. The Tanrica from the CowParade collection is a beautiful cow with a goddess firmly embracing the cow. This seems to be a reference to the story from Greek mythology in which Zeus, the supreme god of the Greek pantheon, kidnaps a young Phoenician girl named Europa, disguised as a white bull. Zeus lies at Europa's feet and appears completely docile. Encouraged by her friends, Europa climbs onto the animal's back. Zeus rises and begins to walk slowly. But soon, he speeds up and eventually gallops, with Europa clutching for her dear life. This is our tribute to the beautiful artwork 'Europe and the Bull'. Created by artist Esra Turan and showcased at the Istanbul CowParade exhibition in 2007.

Dimension: 15x10 cm
Weight: 380 g
Material: poly resin
Condition: New with original box and tag.

La CowParade has been staged in more than 80 cities around the world.
The organizers choose a charitable cause, then it is necessary to find the artists and sponsors.
When the herd is ready, the beautiful cows are decorated in full size, and they set out to parade for a period ranging from one week to a month in the city.
In the end, they are presented at a gala and auctioned to the highest bidder for the benefit of the chosen cause.
