Description from the seller

This lot features a traditional Japanese Deba knife (出刃包丁) engraved with 源吉 (Genkichi) and marked 堺登録 (Sakai Registered), indicating production associated with the Sakai region, a well-known center of Japanese knife craftsmanship.

The knife has an overall length of approximately 28 cm and features a single-edged stainless steel blade, suitable for fish preparation such as filleting and cutting through small bones. The wooden handle provides a traditional grip and balance.

Please note that rust and dirt are present on the blade, as shown in the photos. The knife has not been restored or polished and is offered in its current condition. Cleaning and maintenance may be required before practical use.

A suitable item for collectors of Japanese kitchen knives or for users who appreciate traditional tools and are comfortable with restoration or maintenance.
