Description from the seller

Large cylindrical bottle with handle, made of slightly greenish, translucent glass, almost colorless on the body. Partial traces of internal iridescence remain, silvery to bluish in color, and covered with earthy deposits.
A cylindrical body with a concave base and a slightly inclined shoulder. A cylindrical neck flared on both sides, with an everted lip that is rolled outwards and connected to the body by a wide, angled, ribbed handle.

Mediterranean Basin, Roman Empire

- Dimensions: 190 x 76 x 78 mm

- Dating: 1st – 2nd century A.D.

- Provenance: French private collection, acquired on 23-04-1978, Versailles sale, Perrin and Fromentin auction house, Lot 29.

- Literature: Ising Form 51b, Ancient and Islamic Glass, pg. 107, Fig. 275

- Condition: Excellent, Intact!!
