Rare Lutz & Weiss - Dessert service - Germany 1900

Exceptional three-piece dessert set by Lutz & Weiss, Pforzheim, Germany.
The handles feature fine wheat and flowing vine ornamentation, a hallmark Art Nouveau / Jugendstil design known as “Ähre” (“Wheat”).
The surface is matte-finished with partly gilt highlights (vermeil). The knife blade is gilt; all handles are solid 900 silver.
Preserved in its original silk-lined presentation case.

- Crescent moon and crown (German Imperial silver mark, post-1888)
- “900” for silver purity
- Maker’s mark “W” in shield – Lutz & Weiss
