Antique Rococo Revival tea strainer in 800 silver, made in Hanau, Germany, dating to circa 1890–1910, measuring 13 cm long with a 6.5 cm head, weighing 41.6 grams, in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear.
Description from the seller
Beautiful and finely detailed antique tea strainer made of 800-grade solid silver, richly decorated in Rococo Revival style.
The piece features an ornate floral and scroll motif with high-relief details around the rim and handle, typical of Hanau craftsmanship at the turn of the 20th century.
Hallmarked with the German crescent moon and crown silver mark, fineness “800,” and an indistinct maker’s mark, likely from a Hanau workshop (possibly Gebrüder Dingeldein or J.D. Schleissner & Söhne).
A fine and collectible example of period silverwork, ideal for lovers of antique tea accessories or Hanau silver.
