Very large antique porcelain doll – Simon & Halbig – Franz Schmidt (S × C) – ca. 1905–1915

Very beautiful and original German antique doll produced jointly by Franz Schmidt & Simon & Halbig.

The doll has a biscuit porcelain head, marked:
S × C – Simon & Halbig – 73.

Features
Height: 74 cm
• Period: circa 1905–1915
Main manufacturer: Simon & Halbig (Germany)
• Assembly / production: Franz Schmidt (S × C)
• Model head: 73
Glassy sleep eyes (working)
Original composite body
No cracks or hairline fractures in the porcelain.
Only minor paint wear on the skull, considered normal due to aging and the use of a wig.
Good proportions; the head and body originally belong together.
• With wig, clothing, and (shoes are not original)

Condition
Good antique condition for its age. No restorations, no overpainting. Normal signs of use consistent with a doll over 100 years old.
