Herradura presents Selección Suprema Extra Añejo from Mexico, a 75 cl bottle at 40% ABV, in original packaging as a limited edition.
Description from the seller
The bottle is in very good condition and includes its complete original corredo, featuring the signature presentation box and the original parchment pergamena that accompanies this limited release. Herradura 1870 Selección Suprema Limited Edition is an ultra-premium Extra Añejo tequila crafted by Casa Herradura in Jalisco, Mexico. Produced exclusively from 100% Weber Blue Agave, it reflects a meticulous artisanal process that honors tradition and exceptional aging. Mature agave plants are hand-harvested, and the piñas are slow-roasted in traditional clay ovens to enhance the natural sweetness and depth of flavor. After extraction, the liquid undergoes a gentle, unhurried double distillation designed to preserve aromatic purity and textural richness.
The tequila is then aged for approximately 49 months—over four years—in American white oak barrels. This extended maturation imparts a deep, dark amber color and a sophisticated, layered profile. On the nose, it reveals aromas of cooked agave, dry wood, fine vanilla, cinnamon, and subtle floral nuances such as rose petal. The palate is remarkably smooth, creamy, and refined, offering balanced notes of roasted agave, oak toast, dried fruits, and delicate hints of nuts like almond or hazelnut. The finish is long, warm, and persistent, with a polished harmony between sweet spice and oak-driven complexity.
Selección Suprema is released in strictly limited quantities, making it a coveted expression among collectors and tequila connoisseurs. Bottled at 40% ABV, it is designed for slow sipping and appreciation, showcasing both the craft and the legacy of one of Mexico’s most respected tequila houses.
