Rare and charming late 20th century Laughing Buddha(Budai / Hotei) figurine, entirely made in Italy by the respected “Mida” brand. Authenticity guaranteed by:

This substantial seated Budai perfectly embodies the iconic figure of joy and prosperity: wide smiling face, large exposed belly (traditionally rubbed for good luck and abundance), long earlobes, and richly detailed flowing robes decorated with swirling clouds, flowers, and ornate motifs. A beloved symbol of happiness, wealth, contentment, and positive energy in Feng Shui and East Asian traditions.

Expertly crafted in heavy silver-electroplated resin/composite with a refined hand-brushed ("argento spazzolato a mano") finish. The surface shows attractive natural vintage patina and light age-related wear that enhances its authentic mid-century character – plating remains largely intact with no major damage. Elegantly presented on its original separate round black lacquered base.
