Description from the seller

E. Leitz Wetzlar Bidoxit 6×30, a rare binocular from the 1930s (pre-/World War II). The binocular is cosmetically and mechanically in good condition for its age. The focus works well, and the construction is solid. There is some fungus under the glass, which is not unusual and fits with the age of this vintage binocular (see last photo). This appears as a small black spot when looking through the binocular.

Based on the serial number 524533, this specimen was very likely produced around 1938-1939, making it pre-WWII. This makes it an early and collectible Leitz viewer.

The Bidoxit version is an early and less frequently encountered variant within the Leitz 6×30 series. This designation was only used for a short time (late 1930s), resulting in significantly fewer units produced compared to the later and much more common Bidox.

Unique features of this model
Early E. Leitz Wetzlar production (Leica group)
Bidoxit prism system: compact and high-quality optical
6×30 configuration, popular among professional and military users.
Pre-/WWII edition, collectible
