To further confirm the authenticity of this artwork, we conducted a UV authentication test.
The color of light reflected under UV illumination can identify the printing method and materials used, making it an effective method of authentication.
Modern white paper appears bluish-purple under UV light. This is because modern paper contains optical brighteners (chemicals added to make paper appear whiter).
Optical brighteners fade over time, so if this artwork were a modern forgery (printed on modern paper), it would reflect bluish-purple light under UV illumination.
The results of this authentication test indicate that this artwork is a genuine reproduction, created using the printing technology of that era, not modern technology.
Condition:
The framed artwork is in excellent, like-new condition.
