A large, intact Etruscan black bucchero oinochoe dating to circa 700–600 BCE, with a trilobed spout, piriform body, three bands of incised circles at the shoulder and mid‑body, and a tall vertical handle with a fine rim, measuring 21.6 cm in height and 14.7 cm in width.

Important Etruscan black bucchero oil flask
Very large three-lobed spouted oenochoe in black terracotta, called 'bucchero nero.'
Piriform pouch, three series of parallel circles incised on the shoulder and halfway up the pouch.
Large vertical handle attached to a large, thin lip with two notches on each side, and a slightly pinched beak.
Etruria, around 700/600 BC.
The terracotta is of an intense black, covered with an engobe with metallic reflections.
Height 21.6 cm - width 14.7 cm - very good state of preservation - varnish deterioration in some areas
Provenance: Germany, R.T.B. gallery.
Previous provenance: old Germanic collection.
