RARE CUP WITH INDUS VALLEY DECOR
Very old decorated ceramic from the Indus Valley.
Cylindrical cup resting on a small circular foot.
The cup is decorated with circular lines, interlocked squares, and hatched vertical bands.
Asia Minor, ancient Pakistan, Indus culture, Baluchistan - Nindowari.
Dating: 2500–2000 BC.
Dimensions: Diameter 11.4 cm - Height 7.9 cm
Good condition - the decor is original and remains clearly visible.
Provenance: United Kingdom, T.M.L. gallery.
Previously: a collection acquired on the British art market before 2000. From an important estate in Cambridgeshire by descent.
