Description from the seller
This model shows the Porsche 911 from the year 1988, a German sports car from Porsche AG in Stuttgart. The famous and distinctive 911 series was produced from 1963 to 1989. The Carrera model was introduced in 1985 with three body variants: the coupé, the cabriolet, and the Targa (i.e., a removable hardtop between the A- and B-pillars).
This object is part of a collection of 41 precision model cars, including 22 Corvette models from 1953 to 1998, as well as famous models from Rolls-Royce, Duesenberg, Bugatti, Mercedes-Benz, and Ford Mustang. They were designed by the Franklin Mint in Philadelphia, USA, and collected and donated in 2010 by the married couple Michael and Jan Whiffen from Queensland, who collected them from 1983 to 2009.
